Tarambola Tinto

Casa Santos Lima, Lissabon, Portugal

  • Tarambola Tinto. Carefully selected grapes make this wine a perfect glass of red Portuguese. The vineyards are located near Lisbon, on the sunny slopes of the wine valley, about 25 kilometers from the Atlantic Ocean. Excellent conditions for the Touriga Nacional, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. For this wine, even fermentation of the grapes by means of traditional winemaking (picking, pressing, fermentation, maturing) was applied; a wood maturation of about eight months on French and American oak, completes the ripe, spicy and velvety character of the wine.

Story behind the label: Tarambolas are birds that can be found in the vineyards of Quinta do Boavista at times. In addition, the deer on the label indicate the style of meat it can be paired with. A wine that is very suitable for the game season.
  • Red wine - Ripe, spicy and intense. Aromatic deep red wine, beautiful intensity with aromas of ripe red and black fruit and spiciness. The short wood aging provides some extra complexity, perfectly balanced. Elegant, soft and mouth-watering.
  • Our sommeliers recommend:

Good with slow cooked meats and stews with spicy notes, spicy BBQ dishes and roast poultry, such as partridge, with a strong (port) sauce. Also good to combine with baked or grilled lamb back, hare, saddle, leg and Iberian pork with strong sauces and strong, hard cheeses with compote.
