The beginning of Dare Wines
10 years ago Michael and I started Dare Wines together. We had been friends for a long time and every now and then we would get together with friends to cook together. A good glass of wine was of course a must! Michael's knowledge and enthusiasm about wine really aroused my interest. Nevertheless, I could never have foreseen that the product wine is so fun, diverse and endless. The more you know about it, the more interesting it becomes.

From thinking to doing
I myself had a lot of experience as a project leader/manager. Before I started Dare Wines, for example, I worked for a long time at a company that was involved in the interior of large retail chains. The fun thing about project management for me is fine-tuning processes. I also have a passion for entrepreneurship! This meant that Michael and I, as a team, had all the knowledge and skills to start Dare Wines.

Diversity is challenging
My tasks at Dare Wines vary enormously. From arranging all orders from A to Z, such as delivery and invoicing, to purchasing at the wineries. I also regularly deal with customer contact, wine tastings or Dare Wines The Game. I like this diversity, this makes the work challenging for me.

We are basically a small company, but with a large customer base. This ensures that there is always a certain 'drive'. We work in a close team in which we help each other and work together a lot to achieve new successes together!

More than just selling
We also extend the importance of cooperation to our customers. What makes Dare Wines different from other companies is the fact that we are always prepared to invest more time and energy in cooperation. We keep moving so that we can improve ourselves every day. We have all the knowledge in-house to be able to serve our partners with a total picture. For example, we also calculate the percentage of goods sold, we look at the margin and we train the staff.

Our knowledge of the industry is of course an advantage, but what we find even more important is the bond with our partners. Our focus is on building and maintaining our relationships. We want to work together and help our customers grow and achieve their goals!

Personal favorites
My own favorites from our assortment vary greatly per season. If I had to name a white and a red wine, I would choose the Chardonnay from Limoux, France and the Tarambola, a Portuguese red wine. These wines match my taste palette best, also in terms of wine and food. I really like richer flavors in both my wine and my food. I would personally prefer to combine the Chardonnay with a fried white fish and the Tarambola comes into its own best in combination with grilled red meat.
