New Zealand wine is relatively young in the wine world. Wine was already being produced in this country over a hundred years ago, but it was only in 1986 that the country was finally discovered as a wine country. The origins of viticulture in New Zealand lie with immigrants from Europe . The nearest mainland is Australia, the country that is often mentioned in the same breath as New Zealand. Strange really, the countries have little in common, not only in terms of wine production, but also in terms of history. In addition, the countries are more than 1600 kilometers apart. New Zealand is surrounded by oceans and therefore has a real maritime climate. In New Zealand you will find the southernmost vineyards in the world . The most important area for New Zealand wines is Marlborough, located on the South Island. Here there is a perfect climate for growing grapes because the area lies between two mountain ranges, surrounded by water from the Pacific Ocean; ' cool climate viticulture' , often referred to as Clean & Green! New Zealand is a global leader for Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir. Although the country 'got going later', New Zealand's wine industry is currently experiencing strong growth . However, production remains small; but to what extent is this a disadvantage? This will only increase the (already perfect) quality and New Zealand wines will always remain rare and unique in their kind .

Dit is een hele mooie zomerse rosé die het goed doet op een tuinfeest, een bbq maar ook gezellig met vrienden achter in de tuin. Kleine hapjes erbij en genieten!
